OUR TRAINING COURESES
Our training courses span a duration of six months, ensuring ample time for skill development and proficiency. Upon completion of the training, we provide assistance to trainees in securing employment opportunities, enabling them to gain practical experience over an 18-month period. Once the 18-month period concludes, trainees return to our Training Centre to begin their trade test preparation.
The training fees can be borne by the trainees themselves or sponsored by the companies they are employed with. We strive to make our programs accessible to all individuals seeking to enhance their professional capabilities and embark on rewarding careers.
Pass it On Training Centre is dedicated to addressing the challenges faced by individuals under 18 as well as young adults between 18 and 26, with a particular focus on empowering women and disabled individuals.
We understand that many young people are left to fend for themselves once they turn 18, and our goal is to support them by developing their skills and knowledge, ultimately helping them find employment.
For under 18s, we aim to collaborate with children’s centers where they reside. Our approach is not just about skill development but also about providing mentorship as they transition into adulthood. We offer comprehensive training, including hands-on experience at active construction sites, teaching them essential safety precautions.
Additionally, they receive first aid training and certification. Through these initiatives, we hope to equip them with the necessary skills to succeed in the workforce.
Addressing the larger crisis of youth unemployment in South Africa, Pass it On recognizes the pressing need to bridge the gap in trained artisans within the construction industry. With a high school dropout rate of 45%, the country faces a severe youth employment crisis.
Our training center was established precisely to tackle this issue. Our objective is not only to teach trades but also to instill confidence in young and adult individuals, showing them that they can contribute meaningfully to society and provide for their families.
Empowerment is at the core of our organization. We strive to empower youth, females, and disabled individuals by breaking barriers and promoting equal opportunities. Our training programs are designed to prepare women for careers in the male-dominated field of artisans. We aim to remove the stigma associated with male-dominated environments and create a level playing field for females.
Likewise, we provide avenues for disabled individuals to pursue careers in the trades and advanced manufacturing.
Moreover, Pass it On Training Centre recognizes the importance of job creation in our economy.
By equipping our trainees with industry-specific skills, we aim to facilitate their employment in their chosen fields. Our ultimate goal is to contribute to the growth and development of our community by generating job opportunities and providing individuals with the means to support themselves and their families.
Through our comprehensive training programs, mentorship, and job placement assistance, Pass it On Training Centre seeks to make a meaningful impact on the lives of young individuals, women, and disabled individuals in South Africa.
We believe in their potential and are committed to empowering them to create a better future for themselves and their communities.
