about us
INTRODUCTION PASS IT ON TRAINING CENTRE, established on December 11, 2020, and officially registered on March 10, 2021, is dedicated to making a positive impact on the community. Led by Mr. Leon Kordom, the founder and head of training, the organization is committed to the principles of hard work and dedication. Mr. Kordom envisions a Training Centre that addresses the significant gaps in the education system, with a particular focus on the skills shortage in South Africa.
Extensive research reveals that South Africa faces a severe skills shortage, particularly in the fields of mathematics, science, engineering, IT, and technical trades such as electricians and manufacturing. With an unemployment rate of over 25%, and an even more alarming 52% youth unemployment rate, there is an urgent need to bridge this gap. Astonishingly, there are approximately half a million job vacancies in South Africa that remain unfilled due to a lack of necessary skills, according to reports from the Human Resource industry.
Pass It On Training Centre aims to address this pressing dilemma by encouraging young individuals to consider careers as artisans. By pursuing such paths, they can access full-time employment more quickly, often securing apprenticeships with companies as early as their first year. Our organization prides itself on innovation and uniqueness, differentiating us from others in the industry. We firmly believe in the concept of shared value and strive to contribute to the upliftment of South Africans.
Our primary objective is to collaborate with as many SETAs (Sector Education and Training Authorities) as possible. By empowering our youth and young adults, we aim to develop their skills and provide them with valuable opportunities. Additionally, Pass It On Training Centre acknowledges the decline of sports in rural schools over the past two decades, leading to a lack of community recreation. Therefore, we also aim to revive and promote sports activities within our programs.
We firmly believe that by equipping our trainees with a diverse range of skills, they not only become employable but also gain the power to shape their own futures. At Pass It On Training Centre, we are dedicated to building a brighter future for individuals, communities, and the nation as a whole.
For the passion and love for the people.
Leon Kordom
